HOUSE S

Built as a precedent model of a private residence in Westcliff, Johannesburg. We explored the sustainability of the building. With the house receiving an additional floor below the original main house above. The lower floor was sustainably designed by nestling it into the topography. The house makes use of a louvred shading device blocking the harsh northern sun during the afternoon and sliding louvred doors for all the curtain walls should the owners wish to block the west sun which is just as harsh as the northern light.
